Authors of the popular book Confidence Culture Professors Shani Orgad (LSE) and Rosalind Gill (City University) will argue that calls on women to embrace confidence may (temporarily) feel good (“you go girl!”) but ends up putting the responsibility and blame on women for inequality that has its roots in systemic and structural arrangements.   More info via the RSVP link on Eventbrite.
